Coat Styles with Generations:
This is the most common question we get, "What will the coat look like"... Below are some examples of coat styles with each generation
(Pictures are all our Puppies/Dogs! They are not available they are for EXAMPLE only!!)

Although there are a lot of generations, we only breed some! Below are the generations we breed! We will add as we go!
Doodle's coats are high maintenance! Allow budgeting for Grooming. Regular Brushing/Grooming Required.

F1 (First Generation- Golden Retriever x Poodle) Best Vigor (Health Cross)
50/50 Mix (Approx-Genetics can throw slightly one way vs the other)
​
Coat Style: Flat, Shaggy, or Wavy/Loose Curl
(Coat Style is Unpredictable with F1 Generation)
​
Coat Maintenance: Moderate to High Maintenance (Daily Brushing for Shag to Wavy)
​
Shedding: Minimal to None
(F1's Usually Shed very little)
​
Allergies: Recommended for Mild to Moderate Allergies
F2: (F1 x F1)
We do NOT Breed this generation. We like to produce a nice fluffy coat. Since F1's all Carry the IC (Incorrect Coat) Gene, two F1's Bred together is a high risk of producing a flat, wiry coat and most pups will shed.
F1B (F1 x Poodle)
75/25 Mix (Approx-Genetics can throw slightly one way vs the other)

Coat Style: Shaggy, Wavy/Loose Curl, Tight Curl
(Coat style is predictable with DNA Testing-IC Gene, Curl/Furnishings Gene)
​
Coat Maintenance: Moderate to High (Daily Brushing Recommended)
​
Shedding: Typically Non shed
​
Allergies: Recommended for Moderate to Severe Allergies
Multi Generational (MG)
(Any Combination of Further Generations-Sometimes is easier to say "MultiGen")
Example: F1 x F3 OR F1B x F3 (There are many variations of Multi Generational)

Coat Style: Very Predictable. Coat Styles can be Shaggy, Wavy/Loose Curl, Tight Curl
(Coat style is predictable with DNA Testing- IC Gene, Curl/Furnishings Gene)

Coat Maintenance: Moderate to High (Daily Brushing Recommended-Tight Curl Brush while Wet)
​
Shedding: Typically Non Shed
​
Allergies: Good for all Allergies

Solid Pups: From White, Tan, Apricot, Red, Black, Chocolate, Sable, Phantom, & Merle

Abstracts: Accent White Markings (Paws/Chest/Head) Can be a variety of colors! Cream, Apricot, Red, Chocolate, Black, Sable, Phantom, & Merle
Tuxedo: Not an Abstract, almost a Parti! A tuxedo is a full white collar and chest that wraps around to the belly and goes down the legs!
It's a beautiful pattern!
Parti's: 50% or More of Body being white plus another color. Can be a variety of colors! Cream, Apricot, Red, Chocolate, Black, Sable, Phantom, & Merle
Cream Family:
Includes White/Cream/ Tan/ Red/Apricot

Black/Chocolate Family:
Can Fade if carrying the Fade Gene
Sables:
Eventually Fade to a beautiful Cream with tan/dark points
Tri Color & Phantoms:
Can come in Black, Chocolate, and Merle. Black Phantom has Black with Tan/Brown Point accents (Eyebrows/Cheek bones/Haunches/Legs)with NO white. Chocolate Phantoms are Dark Chocolate with lighter chocolate/tan point accents with no white.
Tri (meaning Three) is Black/Tan/White or Chocolate/Tan/White.

Can be a variety of colors and patterns! Merles can come in Blue, silver, red, chocolate, brindle, sable, phantom, Tri...
